Burnout is a common challenge in the mental health field, and play therapists are not exempt. Many of the factors contributing to exhaustion are beyond our control, but by understanding our own self-perceptions and integrating intentional self-care strategies, we can sustain our well-being and passion for our work.
This interactive workshop explores the therapeutic powers of play as a tool for self-care, emphasizing play’s psychological and emotional benefits in maintaining resilience. Through engaging activities and reflection, we will identify personal stressors and recognize the unique signs of burnout. Through creative, play-based activities, we will design individualized self-care tool belts that incorporate both internal strategies and external resources.
Join us in prioritizing your own well-being, reconnecting with the joy that fuels your practice, and embracing play therapy as a means of self-care in times of stress and beyond!
