Spring break is just around the corner, and if you’re a parent, you know that means one thing—keeping the kids entertained (and keeping your sanity intact!). Whether your little ones are bursting with energy or your tweens need something fun to do, St. Louis is packed with exciting activities to make this break a memorable one. From hands-on museum adventures to outdoor explorations, we’ve rounded up the best family-friendly events happening in the greater STL area. Under $15 Day Options

Simple Positive Play Open Play

Simple Positive Play is dedicated to creating a space for playful learning experiences for children. They host a free open play for kiddos ages birth to 9 years old. Check their website for specific days and times. 

Public Library Events

Libraries are the place for fun free events to take your kiddos to! Look up your local public library for their schedule of events. Keep in mind that you have to live in the district of whatever library you are looking to use for the services to be free.

The St. Louis Zoo

The Zoo always has free admission and is a wonderful way to have FUN! If you are a frequent Zoo goer, try adding new elements in to your visits such as a scavenger hunt or a picnic lunch.

Missouri Botanical Gardens

This Missouri Botanical Gardens is the best place for your herbologist kid! If you’re willing to brave the early morning, check their website for specific dates and times when admission is free! 

Picnic and play in Forest Park 

Forest Park is a BEAUTIFUL free resource for families to use! Take a picnic lunch, a frisbee, kite, sports ball or create a fun scavenger hunt for your kiddos. The opportunity for (free) fun is endless in Forest Park.

MADE for Kids by the Magic House

This is a WONDERFUL resource for the STL area. With discounted admission on certain days/times of the week as well as free admission for foster families and active-duty military families, you will have a blast for a small price! This is a space that offers creativity and innovation for kiddos!  Check out their website for more information.

St. Patrick's Day Parades!

SLPS spring break aligns with a lot of different St. Patty's Day Parades. Google your local parade for specific times, dates and routes.

Value Tuesdays at Marcus Theatres

Marcus Theatre has $7 movie tickets on Tuesday nights. You and the entire family can spend a relaxing night watching a movie without breaking the bank!

$15 and up Day Options

Open Play at Ultimate Ninjas

This is perfect for your energetic, parkour loving kiddo! They offer $15/child for one hour of open play as well as weekly classes at different ages and skill levels. Check out their website to purchase tickets!

SkyZone

Another great place for your energetic kids! Find the location closest to you for hours and pricing!

The City Museum

A St. Louis favorite! This place is wonderful to spend the entire day at! With it being so large, we do recommend the buddy system for those older kiddos that don’t want guardian following them around the entire day :)

Camps!

Taste Bud Kitchen Cooking Camp

If your kiddo has an interest in cooking, this class is a great way to introduce them to a new life skill and feed their interest! The camp has the option for a one day ($60) or the full week ($300). Ages 4-8 can participate from 9AM-12PM and ages 9-13 from 1PM-3PM. Check them out here!

All American Gymnastics and Super Ninja Fundays

Options for a full day camp or a half day camp are available. For more information, check out their website!

D-Bat Spring Break Camp

Give your baseball loving kiddo’s skills a boost with this camp. At $50 a session, you can choose to do one day or all week. Check out their website for more information!

Ferguson Spring Adventure Camp

The Ferguson Community Center has a five day camp (March 17th-March 21st) for $95 per child! With activities planned each day, this is sure to be a fun place for your kiddo to spend spring break. Check their website for availability and restrictions.

Sweet and Sassy Spring Break Camp

At $70 per day, Sweet and Sassy Salon has a glam camp for the kiddo that loves to get glam! The camps lasts from 10AM-3PM. For more information, click here!
